Just got one shipped to me, I saw on another thread the crisp lines of the reticle and dot, mine however looks as fuzzy as if Mr Magoo was looking at it. Am I doing something wrong?  I have not taken it out and sighted it yet but, damn I bought this thing based on what I saw in the thread.

Typically, if you focus on the target rather than the reticle, it gets clearer.

Also, if you have an astigmatism the reticle can be very blurry.  Many people with this condition find they can't use the EOTechs.

Edited to add - Where in KY are you?  If you're in Northern Kentucky, you can come to one of the Cincy area shoots and try mine.

I just got a 552 today also..and I also think its blurry...

but in no way too blury to be precise.....I can just see about a million little dots that make up the 65 moa ring and the 1 moa dot

btw....its built like a brick....when I ordered it, I really thought I would break it...but when I took out of the box...I was pleased to see how tough it was.

If you are looking for the reticle you will see the dots that make up the ring.  The idea is (duh) you should be focusing on the target.  If you do that the ring will crisp up.  You will always see some gradiation, but again, you shouldn't be looking at reticle detail, you should be looking at bad guy detail.

Okay I did what you said and much better. Still new to the AR game.  I have to say I ended up with the 552 because I ordered the 512 from Chris at CS gun works and our US Postal service lost it. After about a week and a half I called Chris to see what happened. After a couple of days sorting out what happened(USPS lost it) Chris priority UPS'd me a 552,the only thing he had in stock.  By the way Chris at CS Gunworks rocks, very good guy to work with, answered all my stupid FNG questions, and took care of me when something went wrong.  Will be spending more money with him when it becomes available(shameless plug).

Red Leg, I am near Lexington and would love to come to an Ohio AR shoot. I might be moving towards Toledo as well.
