Recently I got my hands on a used Eotech.  It looks very similar to the 512 but the battery compartment is a bit shorter.  The unit did not have any batteries in it and I can't seem to figure out the proper size.  C123 is too large in diameter.  N sized battery is just a bit too long but the diameter seems correct.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas on what battery size it may actually be?

Eotechs take AA size, CR123 size, and "N" size.

I have had 2 that took N size.   Seem to remember the battery cover had to be just right to lock down.
