I'm looking for info on the eotech holosights tha tuse the AA batteries, I don't care about NV capability and I don't want to spend too much, I plan on mounting it on a shotgun. What model and who has the best prices?

that would be a model 512, and many of the vendors here carry them at good prices!!

Thanks,
What should I expect to pay? Most dealers just have the "list price" shown.

Ditto, I am considering the same model.

I purchased my 512.A65 through Eagle Firearms in Colorado  www.eaglefirearms.net/eotech.htm. They will meet or beat any price. I believe I picked mine up for $299

That is a good price! I'll check them out.

I got mine from Mooneys (check the EE) for $294. I added a YHM riser mount and cover for a total of $339. Shipping was very fast.

Did the prices go up? All of the sites list them for ~$359.00!

EOTech requires dealers to post a minimum advertised price.  To get the ARFCOM price that the dealers offer here you have to email or IM them.

a cool alternative to the Eotech AA models would be a Kobra sight that uses the 1913 rail, and takes AA batteries. The Russians don't think so, so no such Kobra exists.

That, and the EOTech is much superior. And I've had at least one Kobra (side rail mount) break in half, and the other wanders with zero. Plus, they're a bit weighty.

Hmm I'm kind of glad I didn't get one then!

Where is everyone getting Eotechs for $299? Do I just mention AR15.com and get the discount?

I think they are more than $299 now, but maybe I'm wrong.  I got a 512 from Moony's at 2006 prices and it was $314 plus shipping.

So far the best prices I've got is $320 shipped for the latest version which I guess isn't too bad.

My bad, i bought the 511 not 512 from Mooneys. I prefer the shorter body of the 511. Sorry for any confusion.

Tim at tacticalsupploes.us has the 512 for 310 shipped, you have to e-mail him though.  [email protected]
