I bought a 512. a65 rev. F.  last weekend and got around to installing it today. I have noticed some odd things...

1.For the adjustments- Right goes left, and Down goes up.

2.The rectile is spun a few counter clockwise! (its crosshairs are not level, I placed it on a flat surface and corfimed this)

3. I can't get it to sit straight on my flat top upper, or on my rail system. It cants to the left. (and no its weaver mount IS drilled PROPPERLY.

Suffice to say, I ain't happy.

Any suggestions? Should I take it back to where I bought it, or should I send it back to eotech's HQ?

Send it back.  Mine is NIB and sold it on EE  (SPF) Before I sold it I attached it to an AR to make sure all was well and good

Hi Aud_VDW,

“1.For the adjustments- Right goes left, and Down goes up.”
I take it you are look throw the sight and adjusting it.  If this is so then this is correct.  For the impact of the round to hit right the sight must be move to the left.  Image you are aiming dead center on the target and you shoot but the round hits 4” to the right.  To move the impact you would have hold left 4” or you hold the gun dead center and move the reticle on top of the bullet hole.  Now when you look down the barrel the rifle it is no longer dead center it is for 4” to the right.  Now to compensate for that 4” you must hold the rifle dead center on the target. Your next shot should be zeroed.

I hope this helps.

As for it not being level I’m not sure what that is all about.  I can under stand the reticle being 100% level but the unit not setting level on your upper is not right.  Ask the people you got it from if they will help you out.  If you need any help just let me know and I will see what I can do for you.

I do not recommend giving up on the EoTech to me they are one of the best zero magnification sight on the market.

There was a thread about this.  http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=272576&page=1

If I REALLY look, mine is canted to the left, but after two months with it w/o noticing, I can't complain.
