| My buddy and i are kind of curious as to why Eotechs have so many issues compared to Aimpoint. So we decided to take one apart my problem is besides placeing a wtb add where else can we get a Complete Eotech that does not work hopefully a millitary model since those are the ones we here about the most but at this point any will do. And if possible where can i get a Aimpoint without the mount same description as the Eotech. |

Other than a bad batch of terminals and people using cheap shitty batteries that is, Ive had 4 none of them gave me issues. ETA 1 of them had spent its life getting the shit beat out of it on a 12ga shooting 3.5" turkey shells. |

I've been using them for 12 years now without a single issue! I've been through multiple models and all were mounted on patrol rifles and were used in extreme heat, cold, and rain! They are good to go! No optic is without some issues...Aimpoint and Trijicon included. Don't believe everything you read on the internet! |

Nothing wrong with them currently. Some had issues a few years ago, & the problems vary with the models, some not made any longer. See the threads on that, there's an entire post dedicated to eotech problems.
2nd, why would you like to take a eotech apart? For what purpose? What do you know that Eotech doesn't on fixing it if it's broken? Ebay would be a good place but even so your going to be paying $ for a busted sight. Eotech are not basic redot's like the AP is. There's more complex electronics involved. The higher the tech the easier it is to break. |
