I've seen some videos of people shooting or sighting down there eotech's.  Some times the 65 moa rectical seems very small, while in other videos it seems a lot larger.

Larger:

Smaller:

It seems like in the first video the retical is larger and in the second.

Why is this?

thanks

The size of the circle relative to the target doesn't change.  The closer the sight is to your eye/the camera, the smaller the reticule will appear, and vice versa.

The reason is that the distance of the camera from the EoThing's window is different between the two videos, as well as the quality of the video(retical looks less defined and can appear smaller because of that).

With an EoThing, the retical circle appears to stay the same size (relative to the target) regardless of how far your eye is from the EO's window.  However, as your eye (or the camera) moves back from the window, the retical appears to grow in the EO's hood.  This is a bit of an optical illusion, as the retical hasn't changed at all, only the hood has grown smaller from the added distance. (You can comfirm this by looking at the size of the target downrange)
