I have the Falcon Industries, Inc. ERGO Grip Model 4005-BK that I am installing on a Spikes Lower. I am using a RRA Lower Parts Kit. After mounting and tightening the Pistol Grip Screw as far as it will go my ERGO grip will rock on the receiver.

Has anyone ever had this problem?

What I am thinking about cutting 1/4" off of the Pistol Grip Screw. I think the ERBO Grip may not be as thick as the RRA Pistol Grip and the Pistol Grip Screw could be bottoming out before the ERGO Grip is tight to the receiver. Instead of shortening the Pistol Grip Screw I could also try placing a few washers on the Pistol Grip Screw and stop it from bottoming out.

Another problem could be Spikes may have not drilled and tapped the hole deep enough for the Pistol Grip Screw. I did install one of these grips on a POF P-416 Lower without any problems.

Please feel free to suggest a solution.

You have listed the best two options.  Shorten the screw or re-tap the grip screw hole.  I would re-do the hole.  The tap is only a couple bucks at Sears or local hardware store.  Any lube should work well enough, it being aluminum and alraedy mostly tapped.  Verify the tap size, but I believe it is 1/4 x 28.

U could go to the local hardware store and get a shorter bolt to use as it would be simpler than tapping the hole deeper and less of a chance of messing up the lower. Just my opinion

Sorry if I'm reading this wrong, but if the problem  you has it too much space between the grip and the screw head then go to Home Depot and get a nylon spacer to put on the screw. I did this and my setup is rock solid.

I do not want to re tap the receiver. This receiver has been SBRed and screwing it up would be a major headache. Especially since it is my son's Lower. I did pickup a bag of washers and nuts,(1/4" x 28). Since the grip screw is threaded the full length I was going to run a nut down the threads and then put the RRA lock washer and then a larger 1/4" washer on the grip screw and see how that seats.

I will Let you know how it works.

I put the new nut on the grip bolt and snuggled it up tight to the bottom side of the grip bolt head. Then I put the RRA lock washer on and re-mount the grip. It pulled up tight with no wobble.

I also mounted a Gissele Super 3 Gun (S3G) Trigger

Here are a few pictures. I haven't cleaned it yet.
