Is extreme weapons lube any good? Bcm put a bottle of the stuff in the box with an upper I bought. I'm cheap and generally use some kind of clp and hoppes #9 .

It's decent. I like the EWL30 as it's a little thicker, but I've used the regular EWL, EWL50, and the grease, EWG without much difference.
I eventually went back to Tetra though as it seems to be the smoothest operating lube ,and it has made cleaning a bit easier to me. |

Slip2000 is one of the best selections of firearms specific lubes available right now IMHO.Much better than most of what has come along in the last decade or so.Its well established and respected among most folks.I actually like the regular Gun Lube better than the standard EWL simply due to the fact the Gun Lube has a heavier viscosity, and is half the price of the slightly heavier viscosity EWL30.Honestly can't tell any difference in the performance of the standard EWL and Gun Lube beyond the better viscosity of the Gun Lube which stays on the parts better with less runoff.
Ive used the Gun Lube,EWL,EWL30,EWL50 and EWG and can find no issue with the lubes for all around use. Haven't used the cleaners all that much,so no real opinion there,as I mainly just used the lubes as a dedicated CLP and the performance is acceptable in that regard. |

There are two lubes in my gun cleaning box, Wilson Combat and Slip Products. I have been using Wilson for many, many years with great success and Slip for about three years, both are fantastic.
Don't ask me why, but Wilson for the handguns, Slip for the rifles. The Glocks, Sigs and HKs like the Wilson very much. The EWL works great on my LMT MWS. 77 |

I don't buy into the newest do all cleaning / lube snake oil that comes out but since it was free I'll give it a shot It's actually not that new, it's been the preferred lube by many for quite a few years now. It's the only oil lube I use for all my guns, it's seems to stay put and not dry up over time like others I have tried. |
