Agree the MBT is the best cost/performance trigger available. But holy shit you're a maniac, you couldn't drag me out in that mess! It IS a great trigger. I like double pull triggers but they have to have a light first stage and a very crisp break or in cold conditions when the trigger finger is numb or stinging it is easy to pull thru the second stage prematurely and unintentionally. The MBT is excellent in that regard. Light first stage and very crisp break. |

Nice challenge. Which trigger spring do you prefer? I've only ever used the one that came on the trigger as shipped from the factory. That is the light trigger. I have had some questions about whether it would be TOO light for feeling it in the winter with gloves on and/or when my trigger finger is painful from cold or numb, but so far, it's been great. As mentioned, the very light first stage prevents any tactile confusion as to the hitting of the next stage so there is an abrupt stop, then break. It is really an excellent trigger. Next out will be my ArmaLite AR10 which I just installed one in. I'm guessing that Geiselle has got to be hurting... |

ftfy... Looks like fun...super cold fun, but a good time for sure. Well, you added another term for it. Double pull is a term long used. Just like "clip" as a matter of fact, a term that has been used for both chargers and magazines since the inception of the repeating rifle and only became an "issue" with the advent of the "interweb". |

I personally prefer the heavy spring, it has a better reset in my opinion. It should be noted my previous go-to triggers were SSAs, so YMMV. Quoted:

I was concerned about that especially in the cold, but I haven't found any problems with the lightweight. Have you shot both and then decided to go with the heavy or did you just install the heavy from the gitgo? Quoted:
Not a Star Wars fan? Well, I've seen the movies, or at least some of them. But I'm not a devotee. Must be a Star Wars thing? ETA: Googled. Oh, that thing. |
| The winter is by FAR the best time of the year to go to the range! Get some decent snowpants so you can sit in the snow and you're set for the whole day, or at least all 4 hours of it. Nobody else wants to go out then so you've got the whole place to yourself. |

Have you shot both and then decided to go with the heavy or did you just install the heavy from the gitgo? I shot both; back to back, about 200 rounds each prior to making a decision. The spring you choose is really subject to your intended use. For precision shooting, I'd probably use the light spring. However, with the light spring, it feels like you're searching for the reset. With the heavier spring, there's a little more tension pushing your finger to reset, making follow up shots quicker. Again, I'm used to the SSA, so that's more than likely why. |
| immensely envious of your set up there. I'd love to be able to go dick around in conditions like that. I'll just add on to the pile of those who love their MBT. Great trigger for the original price, absurd value for what Mark lets it go for. 2 more on back order at the moment. |
