| Anyone know what size the o-ring is that you put in the extractor? I had a link but lost it. |

These are different than the o-rings you buy at home depot.
They really aren't expensive, order the right part. Even if ordering the right one was four times the price, why would you want to skimp on that? A better solution than using an o-ring is a HD extractor spring with a black insert. No o-ring required. |

Anyone know what size the o-ring is that you put in the extractor? I had a link but lost it. McMaster-Carr link that member COLT posted has the correct Viton o-rings. 1201T16 (Same as 1201T111) Mil-Spec Viton O-Ring AS568A Dash Number 006 ID: 1/8" (0.114") OD: 1/4" (0.254") Their price shown is $4.82 per pack, this product are sold in packs of 50 (also 100 packs). I use mostly mil-spec Crane Ind. O-rings on all my AR, rifle, midlength, and carbine gas systems, some are from BCM extractor spring upgrade kits, others are bought from ADCO when I order other parts/ tools from them. In my several years of using them on my AR, I had not experienced any negative results it just works fine adding extra extraction force. There are different ways of increasing the extractor force, some don't like to use anything and are satisfied with the standard setup, some use O-rings, others use both extra power extractor springs and O-rings, try them out first and make sure it works properly YMMV, inspect regularly and replace as required. |
