EXTRACTOR SPRINGS - Extra Power
These very strong extractor springs eliminate the extraction problems which are very common in M4 models used extensively in law enforcement. Springs should be used in combination with the new BLACK extractor spring insert available from Colt. Springs also recommended for the M-16, AR-15 & Sporters.  Springs are unground and we do not recommend grinding them.

Are these the right springs for a RRA CAR Elite A4?

They didn't work 100% for me. I had 2 stuck cases (FTExtract) with Wolf ammo out of 600-800rd (which is pretty damn good) because the extractor let go of the rim. I am going to try the D-fender.

not bad for steel case cheap blasting ammo.

Until Wolf makes chrome silicon springs I'll pass.  I had a Wolf spring fail in my Glock, so have others so I avoid them all together.  ISMI are by far superior to all.  Superior Shooting carries CS extractor, buffer, trigger and ejector springs.  They are re-branded ISMI.

The Wolff XP extractor springs are of a thicker wire diameter than the stock extractor springs. The D-Fender is still probably the best way to go (lifetime warranty). The O-Rings, has twl has explained in the past, were chosen by Crane NSWC and others due to cost.

Brownell's has the D-fender for $10, that's just crazy.  A while back somebody posted about using O-rings.  Anybody remember that or have a link?

Here ya go: www.adcofirearms.com/itemdetails.cfm?inventorynumber=2689.

If Steve at ADCO endorses it, you know it's good.

It's not so crazy if you hear twl's side of things. Crane NSWC found the D-Rings are too expensive and went with O-rings due to lower cost. The Crane O-Ring material is quite durable, but not totally foolproof. Of course at Steve's prices, you can afford to buy a whole pack just in case.

But I'm not one to leave things to chance and went with the D-Ring. From what I hear, both routes are fine, but I figure $10 isn't too expensive for a $800+ rifle.

My rifle runs fine as is, but at $1.00ea I can swing it.  Problem is, finding something else to order from Steve to get it over $20.  I spent 30min on his site last night and I actually couldn't find anything I need, or was willing to spend.

Buy some spare parts for your AR-15 while you're at it. Or pony up and get the real thing, the D-Fender
