I'm looking into putting a new rail on my windham. I currently use the fsp when I shoot with my red dot. Line the 2 up. Will my accuracy be effected by eliminating this or should I get a rail that has a cut out for it?

if the red dot is sighted properly there will be no difference.

Do not line up the red dot with the front sight. The two systems of sighting work independent of each other.
Sight in the dot and the irons separate.
The free float could change your point of impact a little but not likely a lot.
Are you looking at one piece or two piece handguards?

2 piece but I was looking at one that had a cut out for the fsp. If I'm not using that then it wouldn't matter.

Using the front sight while using a red dot sight is a common mistake among new shooters. Ignore the sight completely, use the dot. The iron sight is a backup. Personally, I use a 1/3 cowitness so my sight are immediately available should my Aimpoint fail.

As others have said, stop using the RDS and FSP together.  It's not necessary.  You zero the two seperately and utilize the two seperately.

Amen.  When I tried to sight-in my first red dot, I ended up chasing bullets all around the bullseye all afternoon.  I concluded my sight was defective, but I was wrong.  I tried it again a couple of years later (but on a firearm without a front sight) and it worked great!  So well, in fact, that I decided to put a scope on that rifle instead.
