| If I cant/dont want to remove my FSB because of a pinned FH - what are my options for a FF rail? |
|
cheaper than dirt had VLTOR casv-el on sale $190
i put one on a BCM middy and am very pleased ––top notch quality it fits a midlength fine ––i will put a tango down panel to protect the 2" of exposed gas tube @ 12 o'clock top rail sits 1/2" higher and is one piece so you have more flexibility in mounting optics forward. co witness may suffer so quick release mounts may be called for. but let me say this VLTOR feels solid. ––no real testing though- |

Do you have the tools available to remove the barrel? Pulling the barrel off the upper receiver adds a few options, while leaving the muzzle device intact. Incorrect. It was an interesting idea - I was waiting for him to explain how to get rail parts over the barrel extension. |

You still need to remove the muzzle device & FSB in order to get the new barrel nut most FF rails come with & removing the barrel doesn't assist with that. Your only options are two-piece FF rails that utilize the factory barrel nut with the exception of the Omega X which uses the same barrel nut at the Lite Rail. |
