Hey Guys, im looking to build my first AR, at first i thought about just buying one complete, but then after visting this sight an looking around i want to build my own. my local dealer wanted to sell me a plum crazy lower and a de-ton upper both complete for $550 before tax. Is this a good deal, or would i come out better building one myself?

Plum crazies are composite lowers....What are your intentions? What is the rifle being used for?

You can do a lot better than $550 pretax by just clicking on site sponsor tabs at the top of this page.

Or just head on over to the industry forum to get a feel for who's hot and who's not.

Also don't forget about the EE. There's deals to be had there if you're patient...........and FAAAAASSSSSTTT!

Good luck

I don't like PlumCrazy....I can't accept the whole composite lower thing. That's me, I'm sure most will agree. Is your budget around $550??

You could do better than that if you went with a delton kit from their site... and a stripped lower from AIM.

and it would not be plastic :P
