Does FN actually make the 30 round magazines with their FN floorplates?  I realize that many of the AR manufacturers like Colt, Bushmaster etc... don't make their own mags.  So who makes the FN magazines?

Just curious.

I've got an old preban magazine marked FN.  I believe it was made by LaBelle though.  I'll see if I can find it and take a picture of it.

Edit to add picture.

Thanks for the photo.  That "Mfg Code 3S679" on the FN floorplate is different than Labelles CAGE code so I'm guessing that FN must have manufactured their mags themselves.  Thanks for the picture,  I've never actually seen an FN mag.

FN magazines are manufactured by OKay Industries.

If FN mags are manufactured by Okay Ind. then why don't they have the Okay Ind. CAGE number on them?  I'm confused, is the "Mfg Code" different than the CAGE code?

Spitfire75, are there any markings on the body of the FN mag?

Does the CAGE code of the actual mag manufacturer have to be on the magazine or not?  Or can Okay make the magazine and then FN put their "Mfg Code" on it?

If you have a magazine purchased from FN and it does not have the OKay Industries on the floor plate, I do not know what to tell you. I know the FN people very well and can tell you they buy from OKay.

There are no markings on the magazine body.  I wish I could get a hundred magazines with date codes on them...    But alas, I live in the PRK.

I have a 30 rd mag with the FN floorplate except my floorplate is stamped upside down compared to the  picture and it has a black follower.  CAGE code is the same.

Where can you look up CAGE codes for magazines?  Is there a list somewhere or do you just Google it?
