I'm still getting the hang of this whole RBRD thing and need a little help identifying these two sight bases.
Pic #1 shows that they seem to be both cast but 2 has been made smooth on the front and back.
Pic #2 shows that 2 is stamped F but no marks on 1
Pic #3 shows that 1 has a rounded post and 2 has the newer square post and it also shows how it was radiused and made smooth.
I'm throwing this out to you guys because I cant exactly figure out what I have here? If it helps any both sling loops are rubberized.
Thanks for the help.

Barrel diameter appears to .750.  If so, the cast base may be an Olympic Arms FSB.  The other with ground flash may be a modern FSB that someone ground the flash off of, maybe to look retro.

Thank you, the smoothed out F marked one was throwing me off and I didn't have anything else around to check the height with on the one with the round post.

The tip off for a cast base is the "up" marking. A cast base has raised lettering, a forged has stamped. I've made some forged bases look very close to cast, but I can't add the raised lettering; if anybody has any bright ideas I'd like to hear them.

That is a very helpful tip, thank you!
