I have a Colt 6920 stripped barrel that I never had the original front sight base for. I decided to buy a used F marked FSB (sure it's not Colt but whatever... It's my Franken M4 budget build anyhow). I am sure it's a 1 in a zillion shot that the pins holes in the FSB will align with the drilling on the barrel itself.
So do I just mount and drill thru the existing FSB holes? Would it be best to go a bit over sized in case the drillings on the FSB and barrel kinda line up? Never tried this before, I have the idea on it but want to check with others who have done it previously before I go ahead and screw something up.. |
