Does LMT parkerize their barrels under the FSB. I'm thinking about putting a Badger low profile gas block and i'm not sure if it will cover the 2 contact sufaces.

Thanks.

Other option welcomed.

Get a Larue and it will cover that spot.

No, LMT does not parkerize beneath the FSB.  Either the LaRue low profile gas block that DevL mentioned, or a Midwest Inudstries, Inc. low profile gas block will work.  The LT gas block is not in stock, but MI's is.

Either will work.

EDIT: spelling.

LMT does not park under the FSB. Larue makes the most popular gas block, but Samson makes a new lo-pro gas block that will cover the bands as well. I am sure either will suit your needs.

Depending on the handguard you plan on installing, you would probably be better served by cutting away the front sight tower to make your own low profile gas block.  Anything is going to be using a set screw and pinned is much more durable than set screwed.

Here's my picture of an LMT barrel:

And in my opinion, if you are concerned about park under the FSB as a symptom of quality, you are looking at the wrong area to determine best quality.

Easier than Bushmaster or Stag pins.
It's not that bad.
You can drive them from either side.
Rock River pins are straight too.
