FSB forge marks > AR Discussions

Does anyone know where there is a list of front sight base forge marks? Thanks.

No, but here is an Idea, lets start one!

only crown I have seen was ArmaLite Nederlands (AR10 made under license in Holland)

I've got a RRA that came with a crown and my brother has a Bushmaster with a crown. I'll post some pics tonight.

my EAGLE ARMS XM177wannabe has a D98 RI in a circle, with a 1 after it, have no clue what any of it means, but there it is

Same markings as on my Colt Match Target HBAR-II upper FSB........

My Bushmaster has a crown on the FSB. Folks say its supposed to be forged but it looks cast to me.

My BM has the crown.. So does the Marietta upper that came with my Olympic M16 which is circa '85. The bbl is newer but has zero ID marks anyplace.. Its an 11.5", which Ive pulled.. No ID.. usually on the shorties its on the bottom of the bbl. hidden by the handguards... Nothin..

I guess my point being the crown is on alot of bbls. out there..

I've got an RRA upper and the front sight has a B99 with the RI in a circle followed by maybe a fat 1.

I have a Bushy M4 barrel with "G02 (RI) 1" on the FSB. Alot of Bushys are "crown" forged FSBs, but not all.

I tried to get a pic of both the FSB mark and barrel mark and this is the best I could do:

my FSB has a diamond shape forged in it(with something in it but i can't make it out) and a 1 behind the diamond.....

anyone else have one of the like????

All crown marked ones that I have seen are forged.
