| I want to get rid of my FSB and replace it w/a flip up. Has anyone cut it off ? I have a permanmently attached phantom in the front which prohibits just sliding it off. Any hints or tips? |
i have cut off my FSB (but not b/c my A2 FH was permenant, but b/c the dang FSB would NOT budge, even w/ the little tricks to loosen it )anyways, i used a dremel and took off the FSB around the bayo lug and the sling ring--on the bottom side where the metal is thinnest go SLOWLY and pay attention to make sure you dont go and dremel the bbl! after you take off the std FSB, it seems that you are restricted to 2+ piece gas blocks (upper portion and lower portion) to screw on (i used a YHM gas block w/ flip front sight--attaches w/ 4 allen head screws) |
