It's matter of personal preference really.
FSB 1. Dead nuts reliable and durable. Two pins holding on a chunk of steel. Your front sight is not the weak spot in the weapon: something else will break first. 2. Which means it's heavy. Low Pro Gas Block + Rail mounted sights 1. It's lighter 2. It provides a long length of pull typically (the "Dissy" configuration is an exception) 3. There are more potential areas of failure. Is your LPGB pinned on? How durable is your front front on the rail? All in all, I think both type of builds have their place, but i'm more partial to FSB builds, personally. Here are my 3 personal AR-15s, haha

I like the real estate afforded by the FSB cut rail (the rifle on top), but the standard 7" and FSP cut rails (bottom two) are more affordable. The FSP cut is kind of "best of both worlds".
