Need some input here..
Is it necessary to use  crush washer or shim when I mount the FSC30?
Reason I ask is when I use crush washer, logo faces between 2-3 clock position and its impossible to crush the washer to get the logo facing 12:00 clock..
Now, if I don't use crush washer, logo face between 11-11:30 and I think I can turn the FSC30 enough to face logo to 12:00
I could buy shim pack, but do I need to. Beside shipping cost more than shim pack
Thanks in advance.

With my FSC556 I had to back it off and turn it down four times maybe more before it lined up with a crush washer. Just cranking on it will not work.

From the reading I have done since it seems that shims would likely be a better/easier route, and just about the only one if you already tried the above.

Crush washer should allow approximately 400 degrees of rotation (more than one full turn) from first contact: how can that not be sufficient?

I give up
turned 90 degrees and that's it, Its very hard to turn. Maybe because its made out of stainless steel?

the brake is 4140, heat treated, and coated. they ship from PWS with a shim set in order to time them on your rifle.

Yes time it!

Make sure the crush washer is facing the correct way, and then tighten, back off, and repeat until it is timed correctly. If the crush washer is on backwards, it will be pretty difficult to turn.
