Is it normal for the front sight post to be able to move a bit in the FSB? Mine can move side to side a tiny bit and front to back as well. It seems to return to its original position. Is this normal for ARs?

No. Are you sure it's not that your barrel nut is loose and you're mistaking what you're seeing?

I am talking about the post, not the FSB. The post and the detent have a bit of play.

Mine wiggles a little. But I had to use some force to make it move.

I have 3 ARs with FSBs.  Two of the FSPs do not move and the other has very little front to back movement.

I don't know how I missed that.

Yes. All of the front sight posts that I have seen have some slight play in the front sight base.
