FS taper pins quick question which side???

Getting ready to drive these back in my barrel.  Which side do they go in on?  Had to drill out the last ones because I FUBAR'd them

Thanks

The side where the ejection port is.  Make sure you plug the smaller end of the pin in first.

It's been the standard in the firearms industry that tapered pins should drive in from right to left and drive out from left to right.

Be careful, 'cause on rare occasions some manufacturer/assembler will let one get out that has been done backwards. It's always a good idea to measure the pins when you remove them to be sure!

Str8shot, hoaapple THANKS for the quick response.

I'm trying to decide now to go down and try driving them in or order a new punch.  My last dimpled punch got flattened on the removal.

Thanks guys!

I like the cup-nose punch sold by Brownells expressly for this purpose. I've R&R'd literally hundreds of FSB pins with mine and it remains in great shape.

Funny thing Str8shot,

I was gonna place an order with Brownells for one in a few minutes.  I'm alway collecting tool to do the job better.  This is my 1st experience with FSB and it sure was a learning experience.  The hard way!

Thanks
