The last 3 LPKs i've gotten have been DPMS, and all had the small tick on the safety.

but guys like the DPMS LPK's because you can use the Naval Jelly trick on them and get some nice gray parts

I think the small tick is a plus. Some safetys have a huge notch cut into them.

Still a good deal on the LPKs, just go to a gunshow, pick up a few M16 selectors (gray with no tick) for a buck or 2 a piece, and grind off the hump so they function in the 3rd position (semi automatically)  problem solved.  Last time I went out to the valley forge show in PA, this dude in the back who has tons of AR small parts had a whole lot of the gray no tick m16 selectors for cheap, they are not hard to find apparently.

I wasnt complaining. I Like the dpms kit because the tick is small.

Oh I didn't think you were complaining, sorry if my post seemed hostile.  I can understand how you would prefer a small tick to the larger ones, but since this is the retro forum I figured I'd just throw it out there that NO tick selectors can be had pretty easily if the tick bothers you.

Hey I just grind out the tick. Looks good and almost sits flush with the receiver. Hit it with some GunKote or the like and GTG.
