| Does anyone know where I might be able to find a Kalifornia-legal Fab10 receiver? I've seen them at CMMG, but does anyone know of any other online retailers that sell them? There's nothing wrong with CMMG, but I like to do lots of shopping before I buy. I'd like to make an addition to my AR family, but my choices are rather...limited. I don't understand how a crippled, stripped-down version of an AR lower receiver can cost twice as much as the real thing. It sucks to live in CA sometimes, doesn't it? |

Your best bet is to find someone locally who sells them. Most people in California charge a rather hefty FFL fee which negates any savings you might find from a retailer out of state. Where do you live in California? As for the price.. when you're the only outfit making something you can charge whatever you want for it. :( |

I live down in Orange County, between LA and San Diego. I was looking at one shop's website last night, and their FFL fee was $100! After reading about other shop's $25 FFL fees, I thought $100 was ridiculous. I guess I'll have to do some legwork to find one. Thanks for your reply. Anyone else have any ideas? |

Contact ShoeLess Ventures, they can give you a list of people selling them in your area. You can then call them and see what they are charging. Most dealers in Kalifornistan are charging between $250-$310 from what I understand. |
