Im just getting into my first AR build, I am looking at the FailZero BCG. I see that they supply a hammer with it. I am also looking at using an AR Gold Trigger. my question is if the trigger and BCG are compatible? Is the reason for the hammer just because of the special coating they use?

Yes It will be compatible. And yes they include the hammer bcuz the special coating. So, do you have to use the FailZero hammer with their BCG? No you can use the BCG without the hammer I have a Giesselle trigger but would like to add a FAilZero BCG.... They would work very well together |

The only way to tell if these two are going to work well together is to try it out yourself, doing so will likely void your warranty from Geissele and possibly cause issues. I have both a NiB coated FCG and a giessele OP. I run them both with NiB coated BCGs and uppers... The NiB FCG doesn't compare to the Geissele. It doesn't have to, 2 different setups for two different roles. Both awesome by themselves, no need to go playing with them. |

| Forget about the hammer, it won't work with any aftermarket FCG. It will work with certain aftermarket triggers such as the Mega, but those are just slightly improved mil-spec style triggers. It won't work with American Gold, it won't work with Geissele, etc. The BCG is just another BCG, it doesn't care which FCG you're using. |

Sorry, reading comprehension fail. I read that as swapping hammers. Nevermind me, I'm a tired man. |

If you just want the NiB BCG without the hammer, Aim's has Spikes for $225. The Spikes was the last one I order for my new build. |
