Hey guys, I didnt See an Intro section. Ive been Lurking around for months and finally decided to post.
I assembled my first carbine w/ a BCM Upper and Fail Zero BCG, and there seems to be some coating compromising fwd of the gas rings. I've been trying to get a hold of them but not luck. 3 emails, and 4 voice mails over the past 3 weeks. Does anyone have some better contact info for them? thanks! |
| I ordered a BCG from them a week before christmas. I even talked to them on the phone about changing from a semi to full auto carrier. Haven't heard from them since. If they are like all the other gun companies right now I'd try to contact them in a month or two. Not kidding. |
| looks like surface issues with the steel as opposed to the coating.I have fail zero coated components that dont look like that but from a functional standpoint looks to be fine if the coating starts coming off then id be worried and no matter how buisy a company that sells a product that now has a potential problem should make it a priority to get back to the customer. |
| Honestly, I'd just keep shooting it, that does not look problematic. I had a FZ bolt roll pin back out and get sheared in the action, and they replaced the entire BCG, no questions asked; their service is really good. Just shoot it until it's obvious there is a problem, and then call FZ for warranty work. Given the supply problems now, you probably won't get a response for a long time anyway. |
