OK I have a CMMG AR-15 up until now no problems maybe 1500 rounds thru it.  Well it would not feed the next round this weekend.  I changed magazines and changed ammo and still the same.  What else could it be???

thanks

Have you cleaned it after 1500 rounds?

Did you lube it?

Does it cycle properly by hand?
What ammo were you shooting?
Does it eject OK but not feed?

I had same problem with my Ammo this weekend.  I was shooting some 15year old+ ammo and they were not feeding at all.  I tried some new ammo i bought and they work properly.

Yes it is cleaned after every use from 30-1000.

Yes it cycles fine by hand
Privi, wolf,PMC all were tried with the same results.
Ejects fine just does not feed.

Standard gas block or low profile?

Type/make of magazines?

Gas key clear of obstructions?

Are you running it wet? (lube)

It sounds like it is short stroking.

If it was working OK before, there may be a piece of gunk in the gas tube or carrier key.
If it was in the tube itself, I would expect it to get cleared out the next shot or two.  Sounds like you did fire a couple single shot style.
Push a a pipe cleaner through the gas key with the bolt removed to make sure it is clean.

Did you make any modifications to it?
Is the gas block exposed or under a handguard?
If exposed, could it have gotten knocked hard and rotated slightly cutting off the gas flow?

I will clean it out and see what happens.  No I did not make any mods and it is under a FF handguard and to the best of my knowledge has not been knocked around.  I will take it apart and just check as well to make sure.  Thank you for the help!
