I've found the Fed. AE223 ammo with the 55gr boattail bullet to be pretty damn accurate in my RRA NM A2. After shooting a couple boxes of Remington white box, and even Black Hills Blue box , I found that the Federal gave me the best groups. Granted, this was the first 500 rds or so through a brand new rifle, but has anyone else found the Fed AE223 to be this accurate or do you think the gun is just breaking in and I can now do better with something else, maybe Black Hills? I don't reload and frankly, don't want to reload, so I'm pretty pleased to find such accuracy from such a bargain priced ammo. What do you guys think? |

I also found that I had tighter groups with the AE223 over the BlackHills remanufactured on my 16" DPMS. I get them locally for $100 for 500 rds. I have about 700 rds through mine. Since I'm just punching paper, this is probably what I'll stick with. Very bright brass too! |

I love AE I just ordered a bunch form Wideners, and plan on ordering another 1K or so before it is all gone. It shoots very well out of my 24" bushy, I went through 500 rounds of it the other day and I am hooked on the stuff now. It seems to be very clean also, which is always a plus when it comes cleaning time. Check out this link to some of the ballistics test on it versus other Federal loads le.atk.com/223data/223riflebook.pdf |
