As I contemplate revictualizing yesterday's complement of magazines I again ponder the perforations near the top of boxes of Federal XM193. How does one take advantage of what appears to be a packaging feature meant to facilitate getting the ammo out?

Gratuitous ammo porn included for no particular reason:

I would like to hear this answer also, I usually use a knife and cut through the glue on the top flaps of the box. It would be helpful if there was an easier way to open them.

I bust'm open on the corner of the ammo can like a roll of pennies !
Grab a big handful and cram em in the mags and blast away.

Damn I thought the same thing with mine. Just like the plastic insert, if it comes in a brown box, why not use a cardboard insert?

I use a knife, too, but I can't help thinking the perforations are there for more than just esthetic appeal.

Once upon a time, someone posted pictues that if you remove the box along the perforations, you can slide a stripper clip over the ten rounds and have a quickly loaded stripper clip.

If you were properly hoarding your ammo, you wouldn't be asking how to open them.

You guys that shoot your ammo bust me up.......
