| I have a CMMG AR-15 chambered in 762x39 and I'm having feeding issues with it I've determined it is a mag problem. Any suggestions on what I can do or a good mag to try. Thanks |
| I think this got off topic a bit. I don't have 7.62x39, I have 5.45. The AR, not designed for these Russian cartridges, has the wrong magazine curve shape with conventional AR mags, so feeding is a problem with some mags. It seems to be hit or miss. Rock River now has a proprietary lower which allows the use of AK mags, and MGI is similar. If it was me, I'd buy a new bolt and go to 5.45 since the ammo is cheap and the current mag maker is turning out some decent mags. Or, just buy an AK and be done with the problem if you prefer 7.62. That's my 2 cents. |
