Ive decide to jump in and get an AR. Im going to try and build it myself.
Im looking at a Doublestar stripped lower with one of the J&T kits. I just want a basic rifle to start.
Any suggestions and/or opinions on the above companies.

Just keep it simple. I'd buy a complete upper assembled if I were you. I'm no fan of doing builds as your first AR. My thought is to learn the weapon before you build your own. But good luck anyway, fr00t!
And don't forget to post pics.

I am totally pleased with my J&T bull barrel upper kit. I did the lower myself and it was a snap with the insructions off of the "build it yourself" section.
