Well, looking at election results it looks like it's time to buy that AR I've been putting off until the 2008 election.

I was thinking of a Bushmaster M4gery.

What "options" should I get on it?

Get a midlength instead.

Please, tell me more.  Can you suggest a model number?

What about buying a lower receiver.  I was thinking a RRA lower with a 6-pos stock.

I should be be able to get a variety of uppers, correct?

well do you plan on building this yourself or buying completely stock?

i second the middy, but a CAR is fine also; what ever you get, i'd opt for a C-L bbl, 5.56 chambering, and an A3/A4 (flatop) upper

ABCRDS would be the brands to stick w/

I can get a built lower for $380 and have the firearm in my hand.   Then I can price out the upper parts.  I figure that even if the built price climbs to $2000-$2500 like they did in the last ban, the uppers will remain about the same because they are not firearms.

I was going to get the A4 upper and a chrome lined 1:9 barrel if I buy a complete gun.
