I recently purchased a Spike's lower and upper receiver and mainly looking for suggestion on a quality BCG and 5.56 NATO barrel. There are many different brands and options to choose from and its very unclear to me. I'm not looking for excessive spending. just the average quality parts.

The first thing someone (in this case me) will ask is what do you intend to do with this rifle?

That said, BCM IMO represents good value/high quality.

How about a Spikes barrel? These are FN barrels that will last you a lifetime.

I agree, that's an awesome barrel BUT, OP may not want a 16 nor a middie...back to first question...what are you looking for?
