I'm Building my first AR-15, I want to purchase a complete upper so that I don't have to build it my first time. I'm wanting to keep the upper under $500. I want a 16" Barrel with a 15" hand guard. I haven't been able to find any m-lok complete uppers with a 15" handguard, does anyone know of a place that does?
So far the Upper that I want is made by radical firearms which uses a hybrid system on the hand guard. http://www.radicalfirearms.com/product-p/rfupperv1.rf.16socom.htm I was curious if anyone else has ever experience with racial firearms. I am also open to suggestion from another manufacturer. |

At this time, I would also advise to stay away from Radical until the barrel extension drama is figured out.
Schuyler has a Aero upper with a 15in Mlok handguard for $385. You will need a BCG and charging handle. There are a few options for a quality BCG in the $90-$100 price range and that leaves you enough for a charging handle. Schuyler Aero barreled upper w/ 15in Mlok handguard |

Here is a link to the hand guard from radical. I think it is consider a hybrid because it has both the rail system and key mod on the bottom. as you see in the pictures.
