HI All,
I'm about to undertake my first AR build. I already have a Spike's Zombie lower and everything I need to build the lower, but I'm still up in the air about the upper. So far I have these parts in mind: Spike's Tactical flattop stripped upper. YHM 20" threaded/fluted barrel 1/9 twist. YHM rifle length forearm (Diamond). YHM barrel nut. YHM single rail gas block. YHM black gas tube. Spike's Tactical M15 MCG. YHM Phantom Flash Suppressor/Break. Just curious if anyone has any input on the parts that I picked. I went with the Spike's upper since the lower is Spikes. As for the bolt, is it better to match it to the receiver or the barrel? Thanks for any advise you can give me. |

YHM is all decent quality, def NOT a "parts bin" build.You should be fine with that setup, will be a fine shooter.Only caveat is it's better to match the bolt to the barrel, but it's NOT a must.Many fine rifles have been put together that are total frankenguns.Good luck and post pics.
BTW might be more helpful if you describe the weapon's intended use...
