I bought my AR lower yesterday and started installing the parts this morning. Everything was going well and then the takedown pin detent flew out hat

You're best bet is to order sevel detent springs, buffer tube retainer springs, HD extractor srings, a couple extra detents and a few extra roll pins all at once. It never hurts to have a few spares on hand for situations like this. Put together an bigger order an the shipping won't seem so bad

I looked through my parts and that's the one small thing I don't have laying around or I'd be happy to send one to ya. But, a tip I learned is to keep any spring-loaded detent, ball or part pointed into a grocery bag while I work. It's saved me many small parts and hours of frustration...because they do fly out.

I still have a busted shop light from a 1911 guide rod accident. Zoom, pow, broken glass.

I've heard that if you call Del-ton they can reduce shipping for small parts like that, you should give it a shot.

Since I like to have extra parts around, I bought an extra LPK, springs and field repair kit. I hate getting stopped in my tracks just because I lost a small part...plus it gives me one more reason to build another rifle
