I saw the great deal that CMMG had going on their "bargain bin" rifles, and I think about about to grab one. My question is the ammo: I think I'm going to go with the "M4" configuration, which comes with the 1/9" barrel twist... What weight ammo should I buy? Is 55gr okay?

What about the 1/7" twist rate? Will 55gr ammo still be accurate out of that, or would I need to go to 62gr or heavier?

Thanks!

1/9 is good 53 to 69gr, 75 mostly ok, 77 maybe, not ok.  1/7  is what will cover the range, better choice.

Question so on the 1/7 what is best? I have read that 69 is best. Am I wrong or is that right?

For 1/7 my best results are with 77gr OTM

I've heard 1/9 shoots 69gr best but it all depends on your particular barrel.
