New AR build. First time I have done one from scratch. Very fun to choreograph the build with parts. Very easy to put together as well. The only part I am still waiting on is the VLTOR MUR1a upper (been backordered for a minute).

Parts used:
Seekins Billet Lower
White Oak armament LPK
CMMG trigger kit
VLTOR upper (not pictured)
YHM bull barrel w/DPMS lo-pro gas block
YHM Free float Rifle length hand guard
RRA BCG and Charging handle
Magpul ACSL OD stock
Magpul OD grip
Magpul OD AFG1 grip
Lancer systems magazine (translucent)
MAKO Tpod vertical grip
MAKO 7x magnifier
Vortex strikefire red dot

Barrel is heavy. Gun weighs 12 pounds with an empty mag. My Windham weighs just shy of 9lbs.

What do you mean ??

Nice rifle OP... solid 1st build.  I will say that I don't see to many grip pod/AFG combos... did you not just want to get a Harris bipod or something and back the AFG up a few spaces?

Thank you. I have the AFG just in case I need it in a fast situation because the gun is so front-heavy. it feels more natural and controllable to me (I am 6'3, 320lbs) with my longer/larger arms. the grip/pod is there when I go to the range and use a bench. It keeps the whole gun on the bench as it sits kinda close to the magwell without having the set the gun on its side. I also shoot with a vertical grip on all (2) of my AR's when standing as it seems very comfortable from an elbow strain standpoint (or lack there-of).

I will shoot it in 1 week and 2 days when I go to a friends house for the weekend. I will post a range report.
