Hey guys, I'm relatively new to the board, but have been really enjoying catching up on some of the stuff that I've "missed." I am helping a friend put together our first AR build. We're pretty excited about it, so I thought I'd post some pictures of the new Spike's Tactical Lower, and will try to update you when the spike's upper comes in. My friend is going to space it out (sort of like an AR Layaway plan, ha!), but so far have a Spike's complete lower assembly and a Spike's upper on the way. Enjoy the pics, and thanks for all your help on the forums! BTW, I am chronicling our build on my blog, so feel free to see the latest updates at http://www.straightshooting.net. Can't wait to get this thing all together and at the range!!!!!

LOL! No, we're not sharing the AR. I have my own, but my friend is building one and I'm helping him with the research and assembly. It's actually *his* AR. But I hope I can help him enough that there are no tragic accidents involving me!

Slarti here. I am the proud new owner of the herein referenced Spikes lower receiver and I trust by the time I get home, the UPS driver will have found the signature card I left him last night to leave my upper. Here's my concern. Straight, has a Bushmaster––I'm afraid that by the time we have completed the build he may try to trade with me––give me some sob story about him doing all the research and me getting all the benefit...
Seriously though, I haven't been this excited since the earth was demolished to make room for a new super-galactic bypass. Slarti. |
