I have been lurking for a few days on you site and have found most of the information I need excluding a few things.  My build is going to be used primarily for 3-gun competition, precision plinking hunting.
-STAG arms lower kit with RRA trigger from Del-Ton

-Del-Ton flat top midlength, 16in heavy barrel upper with A2 frongt sight ( i figure i can wack of the post if it gets in the way and still keep a perm. pinned  gas block and bayo lug) with chromed lined barrel and a YHM free float tube, and an agressive front phantom flashhider/comp, I have a rear BUIS that I bought when I was into airsoft, its a real deal, just cant remember what company.

-Stocks and grips are already ordered and are CAA which I know have mixed reviews but I have heard very good things about the grip.  worse case senario for the stock is selling it on the EE and putting it towards whatever new hotness magpul is pushing.

-Optics wise I was going to go with a millett 1-4x and was wondering what some good and decently priced mounts for it.

now for a few questions,
-M4 feedramps, What do they do exactly and should I add them for the extra 25 bucks?
-Chrome/TiNi the bolt? is it worth it, I know it makes cleaning easier but again, is it worth it?
-What do you honetly think of the YHM free float rail? I mean i am not storming baghdad or anything I just want a sturdy place to mount like a grip pod, sling and light without affecting my POI im a college kid so a 400$ rail = food for 2 months......

what do you think of the build? any reccomendations?

Many uses planned for this one, some may conflict.

The handguard style replacement rails rather than a FF may be in order.

$80-100 on the EE gently used.

I have a YHM Free float. It is solid and Ive had had no problems. It is just a tad bit big around for my taste. I like my Daniel Defense better though. For what you described I would think that the YHM would work just fine.

Thanks for the advice :), yeah...I know im trying to do a lot with one gun but im a college kid so my funds are kinda limited.  I am glad the YHM rail is a good deal, size should not be too big a deal as I am a pretty big guy and will probably stick a grip-pod on it anyways. But does anyone have any advice on coatings for the bolt, m4 feed ramps and the like?
