Is the extra $20 worth it to get the NIB bolt as well?  Any thoughts on these BCGs?  Thx.

Or this.

Nickle boron is worth it in SBRs or suppressed rifles but in a 16"-14.5 carbine (I have one in a 10.5 5.56) its not worth it IMO.

Its just easier to clean. That's it.

I've never heard of the company you listed op.  AIM is gtg.  I have several of there bcgs and they have been flawless.

I've been seeing that maybe there are some issues with the latest NiB BCGs coming out of AIM, any thoughts folks?  I emailed the company that I linked to find out who/where their BCGs are made, we'll see.

I still say chrome or DLC is better.

I have a Aims black nitride it is great. So easy to clean. I use it on suppressed weapon.

Next is the chrome bolt also easy to clean.

NIB has left me with less than impressed . Stains and looks bad. Also not super easy to clean.

Meh. I have a NiB BCG in my suppressed 18''. It's stained and is pretty much halfway to looking like a standard phosphate BCG. Last time I cleaned them together, both shooting suppressed, they wiped down with an equal amount of work.

Glad I am not the only one not happy with NIB.  I found chrome and black nitride much easier to clean. I also ran a can.

I've got an AIM V2 NiB and I wouldn't buy another NiB BCG. Next BCG I get will either be a Nitride or Phosphate.

Funny, I just noticed your screen name after looking at some B-N BCGs.  I like the looks of the Ares and the price looks good too.

So, after a few email exchanges with the folks at Prime Weaponry, I decided to go with a NiB/Nitride Hybrid.  I'm excited as this is the last piece for my build.  I'll do a review, at least from my Newbie perspective after I get it.

Snake oil.
Just keep the bolt and carrier lubed with a quality lube and you will be fine.
If cleaning your BCG is such a chore, then use FireClean.

Well, I went with a BCG from PrimeWeaponry.  They had great customer service and really fast, free shipping.  It was shipped on a Friday from MN and I received it in the mail on Monday on a little island in WA.  It looks really nice and shoots well.  I've only fired about twenty rounds so far though.

I'm not sure how to post pics here, or I would.

Thanks

My first AR has the WMD NIB bolt and has about 1K rounds through it but still looks new. I guess it all depends on who you get your NIB BCG from. My second AR has a Nitride coated BCG from AIM surplus, haven't fired it yet.
