I just built my first rifle with a Spikes lower and slick-side upper. The carrier fits really tight in the upper. As in, won't slide in and very difficult to get out. I can cycle it with the charging handle, and the bolt will close if I don't ride it. I did try the bcg in another Anderson upper I have laying around and it slides right in. The bcg is an Aim's nickel boron. Will this loosen up, or is something wrong?

I had an aero precision upper do that. I had to use leverage to get the bcg out. Sent it in for testing. Turns out the upper receiver was out of spec and they replaced it for free no questions asked.

Have you tried some CLP on the BCG?

Actually, I didn't. I spent some time cleaning the upper because it was dirty, and I thought it would help. I'll put some lube on the bcg. It's pretty slick with the NiB coating on it though.

Nickel Boron needs lube too, it will loosen up.
