First AR15 "build".. Just bought a Rock Rover Arms complete lower receiver for $299. Looking to build up from there with the individual pieces, but have a few questions before I get started...

1. to push the bolt forward incase of a poorly seated round
2. You can get barrels in stainless, parkerized, bead blasted. Just your choice 3. Several distributors....off the top of my head M1S(ER Shaw barrels), RRA(Wilson)...several others. 4. Bayonet lug, collapsable stock, mags of more then 20 rounds(10 in some states) pistol grip, threaded flash hider....pre ban. All are GTG in most states until/if the NFA gets put back in place. 5.Standard = 12, Midlength =9, Carbine =7 6.Partially hides the flash of firing. You will never get rid of ALL the flash. If firing at night you'll also notice fire coming out of many other places. No worries, just a bit scary to the first time AR user. 7.Short answer you are GTG with most commercial ammo out to 400 yards. Typical 25 yard zero has a 200 yard zero. A 50 yard zero has a 300 yard zero. 8.I'm an iron guy so others will have to chime in on that one. |
