Besides my rifle, ammo, magazines, shooting pad, binoculars, sling What should I bring? |
|
Ah, the good old days. Some light weight rain gear wouldn't hurt! Something to blacken your sights, carbide lamp or Gun Smoke sight blackener. You can get some spray-on stuff but it builds up on the sights and you have to brush it off and re-apply it frequently. Score book. SHOOTING GLASSES and EAR PROTECTORS. Good luck, let us know how you do! Highpower is a blast, you will enjoy it! I did for 31 years. Phil |

bring a snack or light lunch to munch on bring a towel to wipe sweat from your forehead to keep it out of your eyes shooting glasses bug dope (if applicapable) if you don't have a shooting jacket bring a carhart or field jacket to wear. Stuff a sweatshirt underneath it......it will help... if you don't have a shooting glove bring a leather work glove or something similar for your offhand so the sling doesn't eat it alive during a long slow fire string, you will want this... something to carry all your gear in from yardage line to yardage line..... if you don't have a log book bring a note book to keep track of your sight adjustments and any notes you might take pen or pencil for scoring let us know how it goes and just plan on having a real good time!! |

A timer for your slowfire stages. Make sure you disable any audible alarms so you do not disturb other shooters. A shooting stool to rest the rifle on between shots on the offhand (known as awfull hand) stage. If you do not have one, a 5 gallon bucket works nice turned upside down and will double as a tote. Extra ammo for refires do to alibi's. Most importand bring with you common sense. Good Luck F.A. |
