Just finished the my first AR build from parts. I was amazed how easily it all went together. I used all quality parts I am sure that helped and I think I ended up spending about 650 or so. I could have done it a little less expensive but got impatient on a couple of parts???? Any way I took it out today and fired it only got about 20 rounds through it trying to get it sited in. I love this gun!!!!! I want to thank everybody who has posted on this forum for providing such awesome information I would not have done this with out being able to get the information from this site. By the way if anyone is interested the parts used were a Shaw 16" heavy barrel 1-9, DPMS Lower, four position stock from gunshow (not sure on brand), Free Float handguard, Bolt assy, and LE mags from Ameetec, and Hogue Grip. Just need to get a case and more ammo, and another upper, and another lower, and another.............Oh crap I am hooked I can tell already.

Quick get yourself quarantined. Another case of Black Rifle Fever.

Feels good when you do it yourself and it works right doesn't it.

Yes, definately. Seems to shoot a little high and the sights are all the way up in the back. Other than that flawless.

Is this an A2 upper or is it an elevation adjustable BUIS? Did you do any adjusting with the front sight?

A2 upper, front sight was base was level with mount that may have been the problem. I lowered it when I got home but do not know how much effect it will have until another day.
