Why is your sight and EO so far forward?

nice work, I would move the rear sight all the way back as far as it can go and the Eotech backward to the front of the receiver.

Good luck with it

Thanks. the rear back up sight is as far back as I can get it.  Any further it rests on the flat part of the upper and doesn't completely lock down.  I am new to EOTechs and everything I read said as far forward as possible.  But any suggestions are welcome.

Sights are spaced just about the same as my A2 and I'm working on the EOTech seeing what is best.

You can definitely move that rear all the way back, unless there is an issue with the sight or the upper.  Look in the picture thread of builds, it will give you a good idea.

It's supposed to rest all the way on the flat part of the upper.

The eotech should still be at least partially on the actual receiver.

Those zip ties look painful to the palm of your hand.  Could you move them around to rest along the edge of the pressure switch or change out for some rubber bands/bicycle tubing?

I mount my EXPS3 with the picatinny bolt / bar on the furthest rail section on the actual upper receiver. The sight hangs over the handguard rail some but the actual mount is on the receiver. If that makes sense... works great for me.

Yeah, you shouldn't have any problems with the BUIS all the way back on the receiver. Also, the Eotech should be about where you have the ladder rail cover on the flat top.
