Received my J&T 16" CAR kit in the mail yesterday. I took it over to a friend's house, spread out "the towel" on the table and got to work putting it together on an American Spirit Arms lower receiver. It went together slick. Only my second time with a collapsible buttstock but the pieces went together fine. Only one, minor objection: Manufacturing defect in the safety that makes it stop at about 11:30 unless you push a little on it so it goes straight vertical. Pulled the part, visually inspected. Visually inspected the detent. Used the sharp end of a philips screwdriver to try to take off some visible burrs...but that didn't really fly. Traded the part out for a spare Bushy safety in my spare parts kit, and put it back together. Now it works slick. I'll work on the part with my Dremel in my spare time. My kit was at my doorstep within 10 days from ordering. The upper assembly was already done, bolt carrier in place, sight assemblies in place (and apparently calibrated correctly) -- This build was so easy, I felt like I was cheating! Function check with ammo - feeds slick, ejection appears consistent with manual operation. I'm taking it to the range on Saturday to put it through its paces. It really is a lot nicer than I was expecting; Sure, I paid a little more for it than I would have other places, but given my previous experience with a parts kit, the contrast is like night and day. I am VERY happy with J&T. In Liberty, Panz
