I've been looking to build myself an AR for a long time, and I think i've finally gathered enough money to do it. Since i'm at college right now, I have too much free time to be researching everything I need. I also can't make up my mind hinking.gif Since I've heard to many good things being said about Lewis Machine and Tool Company, i decided to explore the option of building an LMT rifle. I've fallen in love with the Monolithic upper since my local dealer showed me his LMT the first day I walked in. h So I was on their website and I think I have put together all the basic parts to make the complete rifle, but I'm not 100% sure. Here's where you guys come in. Let me know if i have everything i need, and feel free to mak recommendations on other options within LMT's product line (whether it be a different BCG, etc) or any other suggestions. I also don't know if i have to pay the list price on the website. I'm not Law Enforcement (yet) so i dont get that kind of discount, but when i spoke to my local dealer he said usually they can get it below the MSRP. What do you guys think? However, I live in NY so i'd need a compensator instead of the flash suppressor, so I dont know if that will cost more money. Im hoping they can make it NY legal for my out of the factory without any addition costs. IF ANYONE KNOWS THE ANSWER TO THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I also believe that the BCG has everything included that I'd need. I kept seeing things like "enhanced carrier group w/ enhanced assy" but i'm not quite sure what that means. higher Let me know if I covered all the bases, and leave some comments and suggestions! |
| Well of course I'll be buying those those also, but thats separate from the rifle right now. Ive decided on everything else I want to get such as the magpul MIAD full kit, ACE Entry Skeleton stock, Aimpoint ML3 from Larue w/mount, etc. Maybe not right away, but eventually i'll save up some more money to get those. |
